This is what I am training on most of the time. Its my Giant mountain bike and its closer to what I will be riding over there. It handles a lot differently than my 'little black number' the Paginini road bike and its a lot harder to ride. Cause it tends to 'stick' to the road making it harder to push. But riding a fully loaded tourer will take some getting used to as well.

Moving into the final week.
Heading into the final week, I am beginning to get excited about the whole trip. The training is going good. Been out every day this week increasing the miles and the hours on the saddle (most important). I have been making my checklists of stuff to take and will refine it up as the coming week progresses. Having sourced the bike I want to ride ( A Cannondale Tourer 1). I am trying to get a good deal over there. Ill post a picture when I get one and I will keep you posted. Feel free to join in this blog !!

Training is going good. had a long spin today and felt good after it. Funny its not the legs that give out first. Its the rearend. That needs to be well run in.
I am working on the technical side today. Aparatus for keeping the ipod, the phone the camera all charged and working. Also invested in a crackin little Aspire one mini laptop that i can throw into the panniers. Keep me intouch with the blog and all back home.

Getting ready
Its 11 days to go and i am preparing my trip. Flight out is booked. I am making a list of all i might need to carry. Going through forums and reading up on touring stuff. I have really no idea what to expect but i soon will.... !! I am currently researching touring bikes to decide which one to do the trip on. Checking out bike shops in Vancouver and planning my route out of Vancouver.
